Jesmond Makers Market @ The Pottery Experience

  • The Pottery Experience 81 Fern Avenue Newcastle upon Tyne, England, NE2 2RA United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a glorious festive market, celebrating some of our favourite crafts people and producers of the North East.

Think mulled wine, twinkling lights and gorgeous gifts.

There will be everything from ceramics (obvz), handmade stockings + aprons, unique outfit-making jewellery, candles, dog treats and yet more deliciousness still to be announced.

Tickets should be purchased in advance where possible, a limited number may be on sale on the door depending on visitor volume. We hosted our first market back in 2020 and ticket sales alone raised almost £1000 for the local food bank, it’s back for 2023 and ready to raise even more much needed funds.

About Jesmond Makers Market:

Our studio a space is usually used for pottery making and painting workshops , but for one day only will be transformed into our market, filled with creativity for one last hurrah of 2023. We hosted our first market back in 2020 and raised over £1000 for the local food bank, and we’re back and ready to raise even more. It’s been a tough few years for the self employed and small sellers so we’ve invited along our faves to make the most of the festive season.

Location:

The market will be held inside our spacious and colourful studio, which is located in Jesmond just off Osborne Road (81 Fern Avenue to be precise).

Tickets:

All profits from ticket sales will be donated to local food banks. Your ticket is for a 30 minute slot during the day so please do try and arrive on time.

The market is ticketed so we can have a rough idea of how many people will be attending at each time of the day. Tickets can be purchase in advance priced at £3 [entry only] / £5 [entry + a drink on arrival].

And finally... DO YOU KNOW A CHOIR? We’re hoping to tie down a choir to see if they’d like to raise some festive cheer + fundraise for a charity of their choosing as they have done very successfully many times this year.

*this is a not-for-profit event, we’re charging our stall holders £20 for their pitch and selling our own handmade pieces to cover the costs of planning, hosting and staffing the event, so rest assured the local maker you’re handing over your pennies to is the person who’ll be spending them on their own Christmas gifts, rent etc etc etc xoxo
